What is RoundhousePM?
RoundhousePM is an affordable information management solution that integrates all the tools you need to optimize collaboration among participants. This web-based solution makes information management easier, faster, and more collaborative. RoundhousePM uses a unique structure to optimize the natural flow of information, allowing your team to share information needed to get the job done.
What RoundhousePM is not.
RoundhousePM is not an accounting software that tracks your hours or creates invoices for clients. RoundhousePM is a construction communication hub that allows for the tracking and distribution of documents between Architects, Owners, Contractors, and Consultants.
What makes RoundhousePM different?
RoundhousePM was designed by architects for the AEC industry, but anyone who collaborates with information will find it useful. This firsthand experience allowed us to create this unique solution with the pyramid structure and roll-up and roll-down features.
What are people using RoundhousePM for?
RoundhousePM allows project teams to instantly access all their information from any internet connection. No more waiting to go back to the office to look at the latest plans or review that submittal and compare it to what is being built. This information is now accessible from wherever you are.
How much does RoundhousePM cost?
RoundhousePM is very affordable because you only pay for the amount of data you have stored on our servers. Unlike other products, we do not charge by the number of users that access the site, or the number of projects you have, or the gross revenue of your company. See the Pricing page for more information.

Data organization and features |
What is a Pyramid Level?
Our Subscribers typically have an organization chart that is shaped like a pyramid with their company at the top, then divisions or studios, then clients, then projects, and then phases or bid sites if needed. Each of these is a “level” in your RoundhousePM Pyramid.
What is a Workspace?
A Workspace is another word for a website or area within a Pyramid. The basic Workspace is a collection of modules (e.g. Announcements, Tasks, RFIs, Submittals, Plans, Specs, Photos, etc.) with all of its information.
Am I required to use your Level structure?
No, but we strongly recommend that you do because many RoundhousePM users have access to multiple Pyramids. Using one standard structure eliminates confusion. For example, a subcontractor may be an invited guest of three general contractor’s pyramid. When they log into RoundhousePM, they will see all three Pyramids in the Workspace Explorer and within it, all of the project workspaces should align vertically within the same column (Level).
What if I don't need Studio or Client levels?
In the Guided Setup of your account you simply set these levels as “Not Used”. This prevents you from accidentally creating workspaces at these levels. The rolling feature still works. These levels are simply skipped.
What are Favorite Workspaces?
If your company works on a lot of projects at once, you can use the Favorites feature to focus on the ones that are most important to you. So instead of looking through dozens of workspaces in your Workspace Explorer, you only see the workspaces you want to see.
What is Roll-Up / Roll-Down?
Roll-up is a feature that allows information created at a lower level of the Pyramid to appear at the top of the Pyramid and even all the way up to your SkyView Page. Instead of looking at every project workspace at Level 4 to see outstanding items like RFIs and Submittals, simply go to the Level1 workspace, or your SkyView page to see all of this information in one place. Likewise, a client that has multiple projects with your company, can go to their Level3 workspace and see any open items of their Level4 project workspaces.
Roll-down is similar except the information at a higher level workspace, like Level1, would roll down to workspaces at a lower level of the pyramid. This is useful for creating company standards, upload them to one place, and have them available to multiple workspaces within your pyramid. |
Pricing |
How does the pricing system work?
Your monthly cost is based on the amount of storage you have on our servers. The more data you have the less you pay per mb. In addition, when you make a workspace inactive you pay less for that data but the data is still available to you at any time for you to activate and access. See the Pricing page for more information.
How much do you charge per user?
Nothing. Unlike other software products you never pay for users, no matter how many you have. Instead of restricting access, we encourage you invite all of your team members to join RoundhousePM to keep everyone up-to-date.
How much do you charge per project?
Again, nothing.

Miscellaneous |
Can RoundhousePM be branded for my company?
Yes. There are several ways to apply your brand to the RoundhousePM web site: 1) Replace the default logo on the login page with your logo, 2) Replace the logo in the upper left of the header with your logo, and 3) Change the workspace explorer icons to a color that is more in keeping with your company's color scheme.
Where do users login to RoundhousePM?
As a RoundhousePM subscriber you will have a custom login page (e.g. yourcompany.roundhousepm.com). In addition to this custom page, subscribers can log in at the marketing site (www.roundhouselabs.com) or the RoundhousePM.com site.
What should I do with a project that is completed?
Set the status of the project to Inactive. This removes the workspace from your active pyramid, but the data still resides on our servers and is available for easy re-activation if you ever need to access this information.
Do I pay the same for inactive projects as I do for active projects?
No. When you deactivate a workspace, you pay a lower fee. See the Pricing page for more information.
Can I re-activate inactive projects?
Yes. This is as simple as turning on a light switch. All workspaces and data are immediately available to you and all of your users. Some terms and conditions apply.
Can we install RoundhousePM on our own server?
No. RoundhousePM is a web-based software product that is hosted on our servers. Because of this we can add new features and make them instantly available to you. You and your users never have to buy, download, install or upgrade any software. You also don’t have to deal with the costs of owning and maintaining your own server.
What determines which workspaces or module a user can see?
Your RoundhousePM administrator sets each user’s access permissions to the workspaces and the modules.
What determines a users ability to view and edit a record?
When adding a new user, your site administrator assigns them to a specific User Group such as Administrator, Staff, Consultant, Client Management, Client Staff, Contractor Management, Contractor Staff, Vendor/Subcontractor, Guest, etc. This determines which Modules within a Workspace the user can see and what records the user can create, edit, delete, download, etc. RoundhousePM has pre-defined User Groups but you can add or delete these if you have specific needs.
How can I let users know if a change has been made?
You can send Notifications to users when you create or edit records within the modules
